I took my mother and step father fishing, and we ventured downriver into the tidal zone looking for fresh arriving silver salmon, but did not see or hook any fish. After spending a few hours fishing several spots down river I looked above the boat launch at a close spot where the salmon sometimes like to stage. There was already two boats fishing there, and I noticed one of the boats had a single silver salmon on a stringer.
The silver salmon run has been tapering off rapidly now for more than a week, and we called all the remaining groups we had booked and gave them the option of receiving a refund or fishing. Every group opted for a refund after hearing our most recent fishing report, so I pulled our last boat off the river and have wrapped up our guided salmon fishing charters for the season.
Thank You! to all our guests for another memorable year, and now is a good time to start thinking about reservation dates for the 2011 season.
