Estimated Drive Time from Anchorage: 40 minutes, if you don’t stop anywhere.
Take 6th Avenue (which becomes Highway 1 / Glenn Highway) north-east from Anchorage.
About 30 miles out of town you will cross Knik River bridge — look for the Knik River Access exit (right lane).
Take the exit and follow the signs underneath the highway, down the frontage road past Reflections Lake to the Knik River and parking area. Parking is free. Meet your guide at the boat – ask for Fishtale River Guides.

Take the Parks Highway (Hightway 3) south toward Anchorage (which becomes Highway 1 /Glenn Highway).
At about highway mile 30 you will see the Knik River Access exit sign.
Turn right at the Knik River Access exit and drive to the bottom of the hill.
Turn right on the frontage road, drive past Reflections Lake to the Knik River and
parking area. Parking is free. Meet your guide at the boat – ask for Fishtale River Guides.
